A Summer Soiree

Finally, another Aussie event!  This time we were taken to Sunbeam Studios in West London for a Summer Soiree and a change to catch up with bloggers from North and South.  I always have to expect the unexpected with these things and little did I know that there would be an impromptu photoshoot, champagne tasting and even candyfloss, all sticking to the lusciously light haircare theme.  I brought along Elisabeth as my guest  and had great fun chatting with Winnie, Amy, Jen, Fiona and Vic (her illustrations are amazing) amongst others. 

As expected, there was some great blogger style at the party; I loved Amy's vintage dress and thought it suited her adopted candyfloss curls perfectly.  I also loved Fiona's twist on Riveria chic look with the elusive red Hasbeens.

Meet my new red sandals.  When Zalando got in contact about a voucher, I initially wanted some new Doc Martens to join my other pair, but soon changed my mind when I saw these flatform sandals.  Inspired by Erin of Calivintage's Celine wedges, I scoured the site looking for a similar pair and lo and behold, they were there.  I love the amount of choice on the website and I'm sure that as soon as my bank balance is sorted, future pairs will be arriving from there.  You can also see my curly updo Amber the stylist created, slightly out of my comfort zone, but a nice change nonetheless.
