Blurring Boundaries

11 February 2012

I always love a good niche and blogging is the perfect vehicle to display this.  When going through my numerous blog subscription services, it's sometimes nice to take a break from fashion and all of the frivolities and emotions that go along with it.  Ever since getting back into Pinterest, I've been making a conscious effort to find different kinds of blogs that focus on sharing aesthetically pleasing imagery and seeing beauty in the everyday.  The content is certainly aspirational and something I am far from recreating in my own life but it doesn't make me feel insecure, rather happy that I've found it and pinned it to one of my various boards to gaze at a later date.  I'm going to share a few of my recent reads and I'd be interested to know some of your favourites too so I can clutter my Bloglovin feed even more!

There are a few more blogs I wanted to share but resisted posting images due to the confusion of crediting them properly on here.  A lot of these sites share carefully curated images from all over the internet and things that I never would have found otherwise, in addition to some of their own work.

Do you like to read blogs that are outside of the 'fashion blogging' bubble?  I've been keeping a few notes on certain typography and layout designs I like for when I get bored of IWYTK's current appearance, so hopefully I shouldn't be too short of inspiration when the time comes.  Reading these sorts of things helps me plan how I would quite like things to be in the future.  I'm not sure if any of these images will ever become reality but hopefully I can incorporate some of the elements into my life in a small way.  My next task is to find more food blogs!

You are right about the fashion thing, it does get so boring sometimes, especially when you can't afford the clothes haha. That stationary blog is like porn to me, amazing!!! xxx

  6. I love design blogs - SF Girl by Bay and Design Love Fest are two of my faves! I think they are so inspiring, as they make me rethink my own photos and I probably take more away from them than if they were traditional fashion blogs.
