The Great Hello Kitty Takeover

Hello Kitty Zatchels satchel collaboration red and black

Seems like it's collaboration central on here at the moment with my Orla Kiely x Uniqlo and Rob Pruitt for Jimmy Choo obsessions documented recently.  It doesn't seem like such pairings are going anywhere soon and I tend to welcome it especially when two vastly different brands mesh together and create a whole new dimension for their products.  In this case it's an iconic character and a popular accessory brand, Hello Kitty x Zatchels wasn't quite what I would have brainstormed but luckily the designs work well when applied to satchels.  I spied them close up at the launch last week and instantly fell in love.  My Hello Kitty collection has waned somewhat (unlike my sister who regularly sports a bright pink coat from the clothing range) so this was the perfect reintroduction to the cute character.  You may have noticed the brand around a few places at the moment and it all seems that it's part of a bigger plan to promote UK manufacturing.  I've already spotted her at Brora and am looking forward to seeing where she pops up next.  Any guesses?

Will you be adding any to your Christmas lists?  Some styles are definitely geared towards a younger audience but I'm rather partial to the red versions complete with simple white outline.  I think they would definitely provoke a reaction wherever you go and are perfect for those of us with a Peter Pan complex.

Now I need to go here!
